National Impact Study



The Family Focus Programme is delivered by City of York Council. The Family Focus team supports families with a variety of needs in York. Our aim is to coordinate services for families and to provide the best quality of help for families. This work is part of a national programme managed by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG).


The DCLG want to evaluate how the programme is working for families and what impact it is having for families in York. The DCLG call this evaluation the National Impact Study.


The DCLG have asked City of York Council to share information about families that qualify for support so that they can complete their study.


We need to tell you that your information will be shared to ensure that City of York Council is compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998.

What information will we share?


We will share the following:


            Your name

            Date of birth




We may share your National Insurance number, NHS number or PNC number if known.

Who will we share your information with?


Your information will be shared with the Department of Communities and Local Government (also known as the DCLG).


The Office of National Statistics will process your information securely and in accordance with the law.


All information will be pseudonymised or changed into numbers and letters to protect your privacy.


This will not affect your benefits, services or treatments.
